CO2 Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing

CO2 Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing Integumentary system is the largest organ in the human body. Every Day it is subject to numerous factors that can affect the skin in an adverse way. Our makeup, the gravity of the earth and time all do their part to create those furrows, lax or creepy skin, fine lines and wrinkles of the face and especially around the mouth and eyes. Continued exposure to the UV rays of the sun and smoking significantly accelerate the development of these signs of aging resulting in advanced photoaging of the skin resulting in sallow, wrinkled, lax and pigmented skin.

Laser skin resurfacing reduces facial wrinkles, blemishes or scars due to acne or other reasons. In this technique beams of light are directed on the skin to be treated, resulting in removing the skin layers. This procedure is also known as lasabrasion, laser peel or laser vaporization.

The two types of lasers most commonly used in laser resurfacing are CO2 laser resurfacing and erbium laser resurfacing.
